Two trains of length 50 m and 65 m are moving in the same direction at 18 m/s and 17 m/s, respectively. Find the time taken by the faster train to cross the slower train.?

Correct Answer: 115 s

Explanation:

According to the formula.
Required time = (x + y)/(u - v)
Here , x = 50 m , y = 65 m , u = 18 m/s and v = 17 m/s
∴ Required time = (50 + 65)/(18 - 17) = 115/ 1 = 115 s
