  • Question
  • A train sets off at 3 p.m. at the speed of 70 kmph. Another train starts at 4:30 p.m. in the same direction at the rate of 85 kmph. At what time the trains will meet ?

  • Options
  • A. 10:10 pm
  • B. 9:50 pm
  • C. 11:30 pm
  • D. 10:30 pm

  • Correct Answer
  • 11:30 pm

    Explanation

    Distance = 70 x 1 ½ = 105 km

    Relative Speed = 85 ? 70 = 15

    Time = 105/15 = 7 hrs

    4:30 + 7 hrs = 11.30 p.m.
