Production
Number of total employees in 2003 = 150 + 25 + 50 + 45 + 75 = 345
? Percentage number of employees working in production deptt . = 150 x 100/345 = 43.48%
Number of total employees in 2004 = 225 + 40 + 45 + 62 + 70 = 442
? Percentage number of employees working in production deptt. = 225 x 100/442 = 50.9%
Number of total employees in 2005 = 450 + 65 + 30 + 90+ 73 = 708
? Percentage number of employees working in proudction deptt. = 450 x 100/708 = 63.56%
Total number of employees in 2006 = 470 + 73 + 32 + 105 + 70 = 750
? Percentage number of employees working in production deptt. = 470 x 100/750 = 60.67%
Total number of employees in 2007 = 500 + 80 + 35 +132 + 74 = 821
? Percentage number of employees working in production deptt, = 500 x 100/821 = 60.9%
Total number of employees in 2008 = 505 + 75 + 36 + 130 + 75 = 821
? Percentage number of employees working in production in deptt. = 505 x 100/821 = 61.5%
Hence, it is clear that percentage number of employees working in production deptt. was less then 50% in 2003
It is clear from the table that it was the year 2007 when the number of employees working in each department was more than that in the previous year and nearly equal to next year.
According to the table in the research and development department number of employees remained nearly same during the year from 2003 to 2008.
It is clear from the table that none of the state has the production of rice increased continuously over the years.
Production of rice in different years by all states together:
2000 ? 1500 + 1250 + 1160 + 1520 + 1440 + 1600 = 8470 tonnes
2004 ? 1480 + 1190 + 1190 + 1500 + 1350 + 1620 = 8330 tonnes
2005 ? 1620 + 1400 + 1310 + 1480 + 1430 + 1510 = 8750 tonnes
2006 ? 1700 + 1450 + 1300 + 1590 + 1280 + 1610 = 8930 tonnes
2007 ? 1540 + 1320 + 1340 + 1630 + 1380 + 1580 = 8790 tonnes
2008 ? 1650 + 1380 + 1360 + 1580 + 1400 + 1590 = 8960 tonnes
Hence, in year 2008 the production of rice was the highest.
Total number of employees in 2003 = Employees of (Production deptt.+ Sales deptt.+ Procurement deptt.+ Administration & Accounts deptt. + Research & Development deptt.)
Total number of employees in 2003 =150 + 25 + 50 + 45 + 75 = 345
Total number of employees in 2005 = (Production deptt.+ Sales deptt.+ Procurement deptt.+ Administration & Accounts deptt.+ Research & Development deptt.)
Total number of employees in 2005 = 450 + 65 + 30 + 90+ 73 = 708
Hence, it was the year 2005 when total number of employees in the factory became nearly double the total number of employees working in the factory during 2003.
The number of units sold by the company over the years:
Company A ? Units sold ( In 2003 + In 2004 + In 2005 + In 2006 + In 2007 + In 2008 )
Company A ? 110 + 118 +143 + 126 + 152 + 195 = 844
Company B ? Units sold ( In 2003 + In 2004 + In 2005 + In 2006 + In 2007 + In 2008 )
Company B ? 91 + 93 + 85 + 99 + 69 + 35 = 472
Company D ? Units sold ( In 2003 + In 2004 + In 2005 + In 2006 + In 2007 + In 2008 )
Company D ? 112 + 166 + 78 + 83 + 135 + 198 = 772
Company F ? Units sold ( In 2003 + In 2004 + In 2005 + In 2006 + In 2007 + In 2008 )
Company F ? 64 + 56 +120 + 70 + 176 + 54 = 540
Hence, company B has sold the maximum number of units over the years,
In 2007 , the average number of units sold (in crores) = Units sold of ( Company A + Company B + Company C + Company D + Company E + Company F ) / Total number of companies
In 2007 , the average number of units sold (in crores) = (152 + 69 + 96 + 135 + 140 + 176)/6 = 768)/6 = 128
Required difference = Number of units ( In 2003 - In 2005 )
Required difference = 112 - 78 = 34 crores
In 2005, total number of units sold by all the companies = Total number of units sold by ( Company A + Company B + Company C + Company D + Company E + Company F )
In 2005, total number of units sold by all the companies = 143 + 85 + 100 + 78 + 154 + 120 = 680
Hence, required percentage = Number of units sold by company B x 100/ Total number of units sold by all the companies in 2005
Hence, required percentage = 85 x 100 /680 = 12.5%
