Number of boys = 3P
Number of girls = 5P
3P + 5P = 400
8P = 400
P = 50
Number of boys = 3P = 3 x 50 =150
Number of girls = 5P = 5 x 50 = 250
% of the students speak only Hindi = 24%
number of boys speak only Hindi = 18
According to question ,
The total number of girls speaking Hindi
= 24% × Total number of students - number of boys speak only Hindi
= 24% × 400 - 18
