The United States of America and the Republic of India are proud to announce the 8th annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India on 28-30 November, 2017. This year's Summit will highlight the theme Women First, Prosperity for All, and will focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth globally. Rocket specialist K. Sivan has been appointed as new Chairman of India's space agency ISRO for a three-year term. He replaces current ISRO Chairman A.S. Kiran Kumar, whose term ends January 14, 2018.

The U.S. e-commerce giant, Amazon has been awarded a patent for launching a giant flying warehouse that would acts as a launch pad for drones to deliver items within minutes.The patent reveals plans for setting up an ?Airborne Fulfillment Center? (AFC) such as an Airship or Blimp, floating at an altitude of around 45,000 and stocked with lots of products especially in area where the demand for certain items is expected to be high. When a customer places an order, a drone or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) will fly down and deliver the package. The patent claims that this would require little or no power because the drone would be gliding down rather than having to take off and land.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has inaugurated the upgraded version of police helpline Namma 100, where police officials will be deputed within 15 minutes to the spot of emergency, for Bengaluru. Based on the model adapted in London, which has helpline 999, and USA, where 911 helpline operates, Namma 100 helpline allows the public to access several facilities on a single number.

Luanda, the capital of Angola, has topped the list of most expensive cities for expatriates, according to Mercer?s 23rd annual Cost of Living Survey. Hong Kong has acquired 2nd position, followed by Tokyo, Zurich, Singapore, Seoul and Geneva. From India, Mumbai is the most expensive city for expatriates that has ranked 57th on the list, followed by New Delhi (99), Chennai (135), Bangalore (166) and Kolkata (184). The Mercer?s survey includes 209 cities across five continents. The world?s least expensive cities for expatriates, according to Mercer?s survey, are Tunis (209), Bishkek (208) and Skopje (206). Mercer?s authoritative survey is one of the world?s most comprehensive, and is designed to help multinational companies and governments determine compensation allowances for their expatriate employees.

Raipur?s Swami Vivekananda Airport was ranked first in Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Survey among 49 airports in the country. It has achieved 4.84 score on a five point scale index. It was followed by Udaipur (2nd), Amritsar (3rd) and Dehradun (4th) airports which have scored 4.75, 4.74 and 4.73 respectively. This is third consecutive time in the past two years, Raipur airport has received this recognition.
