    ? 22x - 12 × 2x + 32 = 0
    ? y2 - 12y + 32 = 0, where 2x = y
    ? ( y - 8 ) ( y - 4 ) = 0
    ? y = 8, y = 4
    ? 2x = 8 or, 2x = 4
    ? 2x = 23 or, 2x = 22
    ? x = 3 or, x = 2.
    Therefore , the roots of the equation are 3 and 2.
