Scientists have developed a wireless 'in-body GPS' system named "ReMix" that can accurately locate ingestible implants and track tumours inside the body. ReMix was able to track implants with centimetre-level accuracy in animal tests. Similar implants can be used to deliver drugs to specific regions of the body. The test was conducted by scientists from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in the US. ReMix is not accurate enough to be implemented in clinical settings as of now. For actual implementation, the margin of error should be closer to nearly two millimetres.

Scientists have developed a new camera called the T-CUP, which might be the world's fastest camera. T-CUP can capture 10 trillion frames per second. It can freeze time to see light in extremely slow motion. It was developed by researchers at INRS (Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique) led by Lihong Wang of California Institute of Technology, US. The researchers integrated Compressed ultrafast photography (CUP) which was at 100 billion frames per second with femtosecond lasers to form T-CUP system.

Ranchi-based software developer Ranjit Srivastava is developing the world's first Hindi-speaking humanoid robot, claimed to cost just Rs50,000 so far. Named Rashmi, the AI-powered robot can also speak Bhojpuri, Marathi, and English, and is equipped with facial expressions and recognition systems. He was inspired to create Rashmi after seeing Hong Kong-made humanoid 'Sophia' in 2016.

National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) launched a mobile application and web-based platform for retail investors to buy government securities (G-Secs). The new app - 'NSE goBID', was launched by SEBI chairman Ajay Tyagi. Through this app, retail investors can invest in treasury bills (T-Bills) of 91 days, 182 days and 364 days and various government bonds from one year to almost 40 years. It will allow investors to make payments directly from their bank accounts using the unified payments interface (UPI) and internet banking. RBI conducts auction of G-sec and T-bills on a weekly basis where 5 per cent of the notified amount is allotted for eligible investors under the scheme for non-competitive bidding facility.

Facebook will also direct users who post or search content connected to these ideologies to an organization that helps people leave hate groups. Social Media platforms were under pressure and criticisms that they have failed to confront extremism. White Supremacy is defined as a belief system with tenets like "whites should have dominance over people of other backgrounds, especially where they may co-exist; whites should live by themselves in a whites-only society, white people have their own 'culture' that is superior to other cultures; white people are genetically superior to other people.

The government will be setting up the country's largest national data centre in Bhopal, with capacity for 500,000 virtual servers. The country has four such centres for hosting government websites, services and apps. These are at Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi and Bhubaneswar.

SpiNNaker is a custom-built computer. It generated similar results similar to that of the best brain-simulation supercomputer software used at present for neural-signalling research. This system would help to advance our knowledge of neural processing in the brain, to include learning and disorders like epilepsy and Alzheimer's disease. A researcher from the Julich Research Centre in Germany, said that, SpiNNaker can support detailed biological models of the cortex.

Google's public WiFi project aims to capture 40 million new users in India by 2019. According to Google and research firm Analysys Mason's study, this move will result in around $20 billion rise in India's GDP. Google has currently partnered with RailTel and Indian Railways to offer public Wi-Fi in railway stations, covering 400 stations with about 7.6 million monthly active Wi-Fi users.

According to the report, China has made the highest number of attacks on the official websites of India. While analysing the data for April and June, CERT has found that 35% of intruding activities on Indian cyberspace are from China. The infamous attack impacted the top five cities of India, including Kolkata, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Pune, and Mumbai.
