The two-day national convention of War Decorated India was held at the Manekshaw Auditorium in Chandimandir, the headquarters of the Western Command, near Chandigarh and was attended by some living gallantry award winners and relatives of the deceased awardees. Among Param Vir Chakra awardees, relatives of Late Col. Hoshiar Singh (Grenadiers) and Late Subedar Joginder Singh (Sikh Regiment) were felicitated. Among Maha Vir Chakra awardees those felicitated were the relatives of late Brigadier N.S. Sandhu (Dogra), late Brigadier K.S. Chandpuri (Punjab Regiment), late Lt General Gowry Shankar (Signals), late Lt Ved Prakash Trehan (Rajputana Rifles), late SepoyAnusuya Prasad (Mahar Regiment) and late Porter Mohammed Ismail (Punjab Regiment Civilian Porter).

The Central Government has given its approval for the proposal of the Madhya Pradesh State Government, to change the name of a village in Madhya Pradesh from 'Durjanpur' to 'Shivdham'. Durjanpur is situated in Katni District of Madhya Pradesh. The Home Ministry's approval came after a no objection notice from the Geographical Survey of India (GSI), the Department of Post, the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Earth Sciences.

The most powerful operational rocket in the world, SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, launched its first commercial mission from Florida in a key demonstration for billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's space company in the race to grasp lucrative military launch contracts. The 23-story-tall Heavy, which previously launched Musk's cherry red Tesla roadster to space in a 2018 debut test flight, blasted off from Florida's Kennedy Space Center carrying its first customer payload.

The T10 cricket League is set to be played in Zayed Cricket Stadium of Abu Dhabi for the next five years, starting from 2019 season. The first match in the T10 League will be held on 23rd October 2019. Abu Dhabi Cricket (ADU) partnered with the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) has entered into a five year agreement with organizers of the T10 league for 5 years. T10 is the shortest form of cricket which was first played in UAE in 2017.

The Government of Indonesia has hosted the first ever High-Level Dialogue on Indo-Pacific Cooperation (HLD-IPC) in its capital city Jakarta. The theme of the HLD was 'Towards a Peaceful, Prosperous, and Inclusive Region'. It was inaugurated by Indonesia's Vice President Jusuf Kalla. The objective behind this meet was to urge all participating governments to talk openly about their plans for increasing cooperation and for building trust in the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean region.

For the first time in the world, researchers at the GRAPES-3 muon telescope facility in Ooty have measured the electrical potential, size and height of a thundercloud that passed overhead on December 1, 2014. This cloud had ten times higher potential than the previous record in a cloud with 1.3 gigavolts (GV). The study of thunderclouds is helpful in navigation of aircraft and preventing short circuits in aeroplanes. The GRAPES-3 experiment (or Gamma Ray Astronomy PeV EnergieS phase-C) located at Ooty in India started as a collaboration of the Indian Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and the Japanese Osaka City University.

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Rajeev Ranjan inaugurated India's first-of-its-kind 'Voter Park' in VikasSadan building complex, Gurugram, to raise voter awareness instructing people about the electoral process.At the park, voters will gain information about the polling process and the archives of elections in the country. The park will help to motivate qualified people to vote in the LokSabha election so that they can contribute to the growth of the country. India and Ukraine have discussed bilateral trade featuring the importance of exports and imports between the 2 countries. The deliberation was part of the 4th Meeting of India-Ukraine Working Group on Trade and Economic Cooperation (IU-WGTEC) held in New Delhi. Both the countries should share the mandatory requirement to be fulfilled at the time of exporting or importing of any product to promote trade. Both the countries have agreed to collaborate in the field of small and medium entrepreneurship.
