Gurugram-based health and fitness products platform HealthKart is raising about ?173 crore from Belgium-based Advent Management, Entrackr revealed. It has raised around ?346 crore worth preference and equity capital since July last year.

IT industry body, The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) has entered a strategic partnership with GE Healthcare. The objective is to bring digital healthcare solutions to the market. NASSCOM has announced this partnership through its Centre of Excellence-Internet of Things (CoE-IoT). The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched an awareness programme on Goods and Services Tax (GST) in collaboration with Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Institute Limited to help small scale businesses. The purpose of the GST programme is to impart basic knowledge and skills required to fulfil various requirements under the GST Act. It would be beneficial to people who are engaged in maintaining accounts and filing of various indirect tax returns. The main objective of the programme is to impart skills to book keeping professionals to file various regular GST returns along with the various compliance requirements. Those who have passed Class 12 are eligible for the course, which will be offered in January and July cycle of admissions.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is to issue ?20 denomination banknotes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series. The new banknote bears the signature of Shri Shaktikanta Das, Governor, Reserve Bank of India. All the banknotes in the denomination of ?20 issued by the RBI in the earlier series will continue to be legal tender. The ?20 note will be greenish-yellow in colour. The new banknote has a motif of Ellora Caves on the reverse, depicting the country's cultural heritage. The note has other designs, geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse. The dimension of the new ?20 note will be 63 mm x 129 mm.

India's largest IT services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has partnered with the Department of Posts in a bid to transform it into a multi-service digital hub, modernise the delivery of mail and packages, enhance customer experience, and launch innovative services that will drive new revenues. In 2013, TCS had announced receiving an over Rs 1,100 crore multi-year contract from the Department of Posts (DoP) for an end-to-end IT modernisation programme. Core System Integration (CSI) program designed and implemented by TCS, involved deploying an integrated ERP (enterprise resource planning) solution that caters to mail operations, finance and accounting, and HR functions, and connects its vast network of more than 150,000 post offices, making this the largest distributed ePostal network in the world. TCS is the same company that, along with the Ministry of External Affairs, revamped India's passport services through the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) initiative and 'Student Connect'.

Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella has announced the launch of "ElectionGuard", a free open-source Software Development Kit(SDK) to help nations to carry out secure and verifiable voting. Developed by Galois, "ElectionGuard" is a supplement to paper ballots. It is verifiable as it allows the voters and third-party organizations to verify election results. "ElectionGuard" provides a voter a unique code. During the process of voting, voters have an optional step which allows them to track their votes from the moment he/she casts it, after the voter has verified the selections are correct to the final step of counting the votes. It does not work with vote-by-mail systems and is not designed to work with internet voting schemes as it can be easily hacked.

Amit Jain, Uber's Asia-Pacific region (APAC) Head, announced his resignation at the end of May 2019 after four-year service to spend time with his family. Uber's head of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty will take over the additional charge of APAC. In June 2015, he had joined Uber as India head and become APAC chief in May 2018.
