When did the International Day of Forests celebrated?

The International Day of Human Space Flight was observed across the world. The day marks the anniversary of the first ever human space flight undertaken by Yuri Gagarin, a Soviet citizen on April 12, 1961. This day is also celebrated as 'Cosmonautics Day' in Russia since 1963. Gagarin's Vostok 1 space flight executed one orbit around the Earth over 108 minutes and the spacecraft was propelled by Vostok-K launch vehicle.The day was initiated in 2011 by United Nations through resolution, A/RES/65/271.

They described the day as an "international day for commemoration" for animals in laboratories.

International Worker's Day also known as Labour Day and May Day, is observed on 1st May every year, to promote and encourage the international labour associations. The theme of International Labour Day 2019 is "Sustainable Pension for all: The Role of Social Partners". Labour Day provides the Labours their right to work for only 8 hours a day.

The National Civil Services Day (NCSD) is organized every year on April 21 in India by civil servants to rededicate themselves to the cause of citizen and renew their commitment to public service and excellence in work. This date is chosen to commemorate the day when the first Home Minister of Independent India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, addressed the probationers of Administrative Services Officers on April 21, 1947 at Metcalf House, Delhi. He referred to civil servants as the 'steel frame of India.

World Haemophilia Day was sta-rted in 1989 by the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) which chose to bring the community together on April 17 in honour of WFH founder Frank Schnabel's birthday. April 17, 2019, marks the 30th World Hemophilia Day World Hemophilia Day theme for the year 2019 is 'Outreach and Identification'. It will be observed with the slogan - 'Reaching Out: The First Step to Care'.

April 8th is celebrated as International Romani Day. On International Roma Day 2019, the (ERCC) European Roma Rights Centre brings into limelight the grave fact about the 6 million Romani people (living in the EU, European Union) and 4 million living in the enlargement region (Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Turkey) who till date remains the most underprivileged ethnic group of Europe.Romanis, till this day and age, continue to face discrimination on grounds of race, ethnicity, health care, education, employment, public services and social services. World Thalassaemia Day 2019 was celebrated on May 8 worldwide with a theme of "Universal Access to Quality Thalassaemia Healthcare Services: Building Bridges with and for Patients". The purpose of this day is to honour all patients of thalassaemia and their wards who never gave up despite all odds and also to support researchers who are striving to create an improved quality of life for people with thalassaemia across the world. To celebrate this day, Thalassaemia International Federation (TIF) organised 3 online competitions worldwide with a certain theme. This online competition will include a video challenge, a photo contest, and a story competition.

International Day of Happiness is celebrated every year on March 20. The theme for IDH 2019 is 'Happier Together', focusing on what we have in common, rather than what divides us. Since 2013, the United Nations has celebrated the International Day of Happiness as a way to recognize the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world.

Maharashtra Day is celebrated every year on 1st May to mark the Maratha speaking region that was founded on 1st May 1960. This year, the state government of Maharashtra organized the main function in Mumbai and celebrated this red-letter day at Shivaji Park, central Mumbai. Most educational institutions like schools, colleges, offices remain closed on this day.
