Ministry of Defence (MoD) is expecting to raise a Defence Cyber Agency (DCA) by May to tackle non-civilian cyber issues arise from China and Pakistan, including safeguarding critical infrastructure. Former ISRO chairman A S Kiran Kumar was conferred with France's highest civilian honour, Chevalier de l'Ordre national de la Legion d'Honneur, for his contribution to India-France space cooperation. Kumar was conferred with the prestigious honour by France's Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler on behalf of the French President. He currently holds the Chair of the ISRO Committee on Earth Observation Satellites.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has hired Sanjay Ubale, head of the infrastructure and urban solutions at Tata Sons, as its policy director for India. Sanjay will oversee the Seattle-based charity's healthcare, poverty alleviation, and educational activities in the country. 25 years old Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia became the first Indian wrestler to fight at New York's iconic Madison Square Garden. Indian Professional Golfer, Gaganjeet Bhullar has been awarded outstanding achievement as a player award at the 4th Edition of the annual India Golf Industry Association (GIA) award for the year 2019 at the Delhi Golf Club. The GIA awards were held along with 8th edition of South Asia's largest trade show, India Golf & Turf Expo (IGTE). 31-year-old Bhullar was awarded Arjuna Award in 2013.
