US-based Boeing has retained its position as the world's largest planemaker for the seventh year in a row, delivering a record 806 aircraft in 2018. Overall, the company saw 893 net orders valued at $143.7 billion. Boeing was followed by its European rival Airbus which delivered 800 aircraft last year.

In Asian Youth Athletics Championships in Hong Kong, boys medley relay team won a gold medal for India on the final day to help Indian youth team finish second in the overall medals tally with a total of 26 medals including 8 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze medals. China topped the overall medals tally with 31 medals that included 12 gold, 11 silver and eight bronze medals and Japan finished third with 20 medals that included 6 Gold, 8 Silver and 6 bronze.

India was honoured during the Closing Bell Ceremony at the New York Stock Exchange. The theme for this year is 'Assistive Technologies, Active Participation'. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder which affects communication and socialization. Children with autism may also have repetitive movements, restricted interests and/or sensory issues.

World Down Syndrome Day is observed annually on March 21 to raise awareness about Down syndrome, a congenital disorder caused by having an extra 21st chromosome. This year the focus of the day was on "Leave no one behind" by creating opportunities for people with Down syndrome to live fulfilling lives.The day was first recognized by World Health Organization (WHO) on March 21, 2007 then from 2012 onwards, UN General Assembly decided to designate 21 March as World Down Syndrome Day.

World Athletics Day was observed on May 7 to promote Athletics as the primary sport in schools and institutions, to raise awareness about the sports and to educate youngsters about the importance of the sports. It is the sport's annual worldwide festival of youth and one of the busiest programmes of competitions on the athletics calendar. The first World Athletics Day was celebrated in 1996. International Association of Athletics Federations(IAAF) is authorised to decide the date of this day. This Day, which is organized by the IAAF, helps to establish an important link between the youth, our sport, and environmental conservation.
