  • Options
  • A. 7000
  • B. 10000
  • C. 14000
  • D. 20000

  • Correct Answer
  • 10000

    Explanation

    Let his monthly salary be 'P'

    20% on children's education =  20 P 100   =   P 5

    50% on food and transport =  50 P 100   =   P 2

    1000 on rent

    =>  P   -   P 5   -   P 2   -   1000   =   2000 = >   3 P   =   30000 = >   P   =   10000

    Therefore, his monthly salary = Rs. 10,000
