No doubts, Assumption I is implicit in the need for training but what happens in case of II? It takes things to an extreme with the phrase ''no skill sets''. Hence Assumption II is an invalid assumption.

Assumption I is not implicit as the candidates listening to news on the television does not mean that he does not read newspaper. Assumption II is also invalid because of the word 'only' . The Word 'only' disconnect Assumption II from the given statement.
