    If we look at statement I then we will get

    if a = 3 and b 2, a - b > 0. Here b > 0
    If a = 3 and b = -2, a - b > 0. Here b < 0
    Hence II alone is not sufficient.
    Now by using statements I and II together
    If a = 3 and b = 2, a - b > 0 and a + b > 0. Here b > 0
    If a = 3 and b = -2, a - b > 0. and a + b > 0. Here b < 0.
    Hence I and II together are also insufficient.
